Panellists include: Claire Bell, former Miss Cumbria and charity campaigner Lynsey Buckle, Development Manager at Carlisle Youth Zone Carlisle’s first Green Party Councillor, Helen Davison and BBC Radio Cumbria presenter Caroline Robertson. Lauren and the panel will offer inspiration on how young people can be the change they want to see in the world. During the event Lauren will be describing some of the stories in her book ‘Resisters- 52 Young Women Making Her Story Right Now’ before leading a panel of influential women in talking about the areas in which young people are endeavouring to make change happen. This unique, free event is part of the 2019 Borderlines Book Festival, which this year runs from the 26th September to 8th October in Carlisle. In a Question Time style debate, sponsored by The Cumberland Building Society, journalist and author Lauren Sharkey will be talking about this very timely issue at Stanwix Arts Theatre, Carlisle on Thursday 3rd October 2019 at 7.30pm.
